A CONSULTATION with GEMMA HOEFKENS

What happens?

At the first appointment, I will take a full case history, asking you about your health as well as a much broader picture of who you are-your sleep patterns, dreams, fears, emotions, personality, lifestyle, eating preferences etc. I will then carry out a non-invasive muscle response test. You will remain fully clothed throughout. After the test I will supply remedies for you. Sometimes I will need to order certain remedies, and sometimes you will need to buy them from a health food shop or order them. If this is the case, I will give you full details of where to get them. I will give you clear instructions (both orally and in writing) of how and when to take the remedies, and an explanation of why I am giving you those particular remedies.

How long will the appointment take?

The first appointment takes up to 1 hour 30 min's. Subsequent appointments take anything up to 1 hour.

How can I contact you between appointments if I need to?

I believe it is very important to have access to your practitioner between appointments. Therefore I make myself available by telephone. If I do not answer the telephone, I ask you to leave a message and I will return your call as quickly as possible. The telephone is my preferred method of communication in patient follow-up care, as there are usually a series of questions I need to ask. How the dialogue develops then depends on your subsequent answers. E-mail does not work satisfactorily in this situation.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, you can call me on 0121 311 2824

I practise in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.

I will post to you a patient pack which includes information on how I work and a form for you to fill in and return in the stamped Addressed Envelope.
